KeyBot · v2.4
Creating Macros with AI
Describe what you want in plain language to an AI chatbot such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, and get a macro the KeyBot app can read. Start from the Create with AI button on the macro screen.
- Copy the guide On the AI screen tap Copy guide and paste it into a new chat with your AI chatbot. The guide just tells the AI the KeyBot macro format — you do not need to read it.
- Describe what you want When the AI asks what to create, describe the action. Example: “Press Q, wait 0.3 seconds, press W, and repeat.” For games, also tell the AI the recovery delay after each skill; otherwise the AI will guess one.
- Paste the JSON the AI made Copy the code block from the AI's answer, tap Paste in the app, then tap Check. Copying the whole answer works too — only the JSON part is read.
- Choose schedules and a name When the check passes, choose which schedules (1–4) to put the AI schedules into, enter a save name and tap Apply & Save. Only the chosen schedules change; the others stay as they are.
- Review, then send to the device Applying does not send anything to the device. Review the result on the macro screen, then tap Start to send and run it.
If the check reports an error, tap Copy fix request for the AI and paste it to the AI; it will produce a corrected JSON. For warnings (for example a held key with no matching release), review the macro and ask the AI to fix it if needed.
Macros that use timer-group priority or press (hold) need firmware v2.4.0 or later. The app warns you if the firmware is older.
